My wife and I did the Three High Passes Trek with Santa in Nepal in May of 2012. Santa came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. He was a great guide (in addition to being a sincere human being) who knows the mountains and trails, and did a great job setting up all details of the 3 week trek. We have recommended Santa to numerous people over the years, and we would gladly do this all over again. With Santa, you are in good hands, and there is a good reason why we kept in touch with Santa after all these years.

We were pretty intimidated with figuring out how to plan the Everest trip and Santa was a major help. He helped us settle down in Kathmandu, accommodated for our out of the way itinerary and got us an amazing guide (Dawa Sherpa). We took the Lukla -> Namche -> Gokyo Lakes/Gokyo Ri -> Cho La -> Base Camp -> Kala Pathar route and Santa and his group ensured that we we had good support along the way. Also on our way back, there was terrible weather which can result in planes not flying out of Lukla for days, but Santa somehow managed to get us onto the last flights that were going out that afternoon (Later heard that there were no flights out of Lukla for two days due to weather). Would absolutely not hesitate to book with Santa for future trips.

Santa has been recommended to me few years ago. Even though I have done the treks in Nepal with his younger brother as guide, Santa was my first point of contact and the „organizational brain“ behind. He made suggestions according to my wishes and preferences, organized all the administrative stuff (permits, transportation etc.) and made all necessary preparations. I literally didn‘t have to move a finger, just lean back and make sure I am ready to start at the appointed day. Santa made sure to provide me with all information, listen to me and make suggestions according to his experience and what he thought might be of interest to me. And of course it worked out perfectly. He was always in touch with his brother during the trek to check and ensure, that all is running well and to help if anything comes up. It‘s great to have someone, who really is and acts professional, knows his way around and is very reliable. I spend a lot of time in the mountain, most of the times alone, preferring more the quieter and remote areas - the expectations from my side towards a mountain guide are therefore quite high in terms of knowledge and background. Santa is someone I trust not just for his professional background but also as a person - very kind and helpful, open and straightforward, with a good portion of humor.

I visited Nepal with my wife for the first time in October 2016. Santa was recommended to me from a Lonely Planet user I trust and so we arranged the trip. Santa was extremely reliable at all times, always going the extra mile to provide a great service. We did together the Everest 3 passes trek - one of the very demanding trekking routes in Nepal. There were times during our the trek when we had to make hard decisions and at no point I was doubtful of Santa’s judgement. Eventually we successfully completed the trek and we were very satisfied by the experience. In 2018 we visited Nepal for the 2nd time, guided by a colleague of Santa in the Mustang region - we very satisfied again. Highly recommend!

Santa was our guide on the Annapurna Basecamp trek in June 2018 and made these 9 days the highlight of our travels. Santa was extremely helpful, considerate and reliable. He took the time to advise us on which trek to do, how many days, how to prepare and replied to all of our questions within a day. We felt extremely comfortable and safe during our trek, but most of all enjoyed his company, knowledge, conversations, stories and jokes to the fullest. The best guide we could have wished for and we hope to meet with Santa again! Highly recommendable!
