Restricted Trekking areas in Nepal And permit fees Some of the trekking are restricted areas for trekking, Trekkers should obtain special permits through authorized trekking companies to trek in restricted trekking routes. Most of the restricted trekking routes are very remote and away from modern technology and need to fly or drive a long way from Kathmandu or Pokhara. Restricted trekking areas are connected with the Chinese/Tibet borders.

 

Numbers of trekking are increasing to see and trek in restricted trekking areas to see the real Nepalese lifestyles, and culture as well as Tibetan lifestyles and culture, Most peoples in east-north and west-north Nepal is similar to Tibetan cultures and lifestyles and Tibetan languages and most of the terrains are similar with Tibetan plateaus.

Most trekkers who are interest trekking in most of the restricted areas need to be  well organize - group need self-content with adequate camping stuff enough support of man-power and enough food supplies.

 

Below written name of the trekking areas are the restricted areas in Nepal. And trekking permit fees:

Upper Mustang, Manaslu conservation area ( Gorkha), Lower Dolpo, Upper Dolpo, Humla rural Municipality, Nar Phu Valley in Manang District, T-shum Valley ( Ghorkha), Taplejung Municipality, MuguDarchula.

  • Upper Mustang trek special permit fee: USD 500 per person for the first 10 days. ⦁ USD 50 per person each extra day/after 10 days ( beyond 10 days).

 

  • Upper Dolpo special permit fee:   USD 500 per person for the first 10 days. ⦁ USD 50 per person for each extra day after 10 days ( beyond 10 days).

 

  • Manaslu special permit fee: ⦁ USD 100 for the first 7 days. (September to November) ⦁ USD 15 per person for each extra day after 7 days ( beyond 7 days). USD 75 per person for the 7 days. (December to August). ⦁ USD 10 per person for each extra day after 7 days (beyond 7 days).USD 10 per person/day (beyond 1 week) .

 

  • T-shum Valley special permit fee: ⦁ USD 40 for the first 7 days( September to November) ⦁ USD 7 for each extra day after 7 days ( beyond 7 days) ⦁ USD 30 for the first 7 days ( December to Augus  and USD 7 for each extra day after 7 days ( Beyond 7 days).

 

  • Humla/SImikot special permit fee: ⦁ USD 50 for the first 7 days ⦁ USD 10 each extra day after 7 days ( Benod 7 days).

 

  • Taplejung special permit fee: ⦁ USD 20 for the first 4 weeks ( ⦁ USD 25 per person/week ( beyond the 4 week).

 

  • Nar Phu Valle special permit fee: ⦁ USD 100 per person/week ⦁ USD 15 per person/day ( Beyond the 1 week) Bajhang/Saipal: ⦁ USD 90 per person/week ( for the first week) ⦁ USD 15 per person each day extra/Day ( beyond the 1 week).

 

  • Mugu/Mugumakarmarong special permit fee: ⦁ USD 100 per person/week ⦁ USD 15 per person/day (beyond the 1 week).
  • Darchula special permit fee: ⦁ USD 90 per person/week ⦁ USD 15 per person/day ( beyond 1 week)
